WONDERFUL WEEK

GREAT WEEK IN ARIZONA
OUR WEEK WAS FULL OF A LOT OF FUN AND EXCITING ACTIVITIES. ARIZONA IS FEELING MORE AND MORE LIKE HOME!
WE SPENT TIME WITH AARON'S COUSINS THAT LIVE IN CHANDLER AND HAD A WONDERFUL TIME, I GOT TO SPEND THE DAY SHOPPING AT THE OUTLETS WITH MY FRIENDS HEATHER AND LINDSEY, AARON AND I HAD A FUN GAME NIGHT WITH OUR FRIENDS HEATHER AND CLAY, MY SISTER-IN-LAW ADRIENNE CAME INTO TOWN WITH HER FRIEND FOR THE WEEKEND SO I HAD A SLUMBER PARTY WITH THEM AT A HIGH RISE CONDO IN DOWNTOWN AND WE ALSO ENJOYED A DAY FULL OF SHOPPING AND THEN AARON JOINED US FOR DINNER. I AM SO LUCKY TO HAVE SUCH WONDERFUL SISTERS-IN-LAW, ESPECIALLY BECAUSE I GREW UP WITH NO SISTERS. AND LAST OF ALL AARON HAD HIS WHITE COAT CEREMONY THIS WEEK! FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T KNOW WHAT A WHITE COAT CEREMONY IS, IT IS WHERE THEY TAKE ON AN OATH FOR BEING A HEALTH CARE PROVIDER AND RECEIVE THEIR "WHITE COAT." IT'S KIND OF LIKE GRADUATION WHERE IT IS REALLY EXCITING BUT THE CEREMONY IS JUST A TAD BORING! I'M SO PROUD OF AARON AND HE IS DOING SO WELL IN MEDICAL SCHOOL. HE IS STILL SUPER BUSY STUDYING AS I'M SURE HE WILL BE FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS BUT WE'RE STILL TRYING TO FIT SOME FUN IN WITH ALL THE SCHOOLING SO HE DOESN'T GO CRAZY!! THE GREAT WEEK WAS FINISHED WITH CONFERENCE, AND ALTHOUGH IT MADE ME A LITTLE HOMESICK AND WISHING I WAS WAKING UP TO OUR TRADITIONAL DELICIOUS BIG BREAKFAST FROM MY MOM, IT WAS STILL WONDERFUL.

P.S. IF YOU'RE WONDERING HOW I COULD SPEND MULTIPLE DAYS THIS WEEK SHOPPING ON A STUDENT BUDGET, IT'S MORE OF A BROWSE AND GO HOME SITUATION HAHA, I'M SAVING MY PENNIES FOR SOME MORE FURNITURE!!! OH AND THE LITTLE KIDS I TEACH DANCE TO DECIDED THEY WOULD CALL ME RAPUNZEL FROM NOW ON BECAUSE OF MY HAIR, HAHA THEY ARE SO CUTE AND I AM LOVING GETTING TO KNOW THEM.

JUST DANCE

FINALLY!!!
So since we moved down here Aaron has been SUPER busy and I have been ZERO PERCENT busy!  I started going a little crazy just this last week or so.  Last semester I was in the nursing program, I took extra classes on top of my nursing classes that I needed to transfer to ASU, I planned my wedding, worked part-time, and had Mono through January and February....This semester,  I am taking classes I have already taken, don't have a job, don't have a calling (yet), I am perfectly healthy, and no wedding to plan.  Hello boredom!!! The other day I even went to a healthy cooking class at the grocery store down the street just to fill my day! Can you picture me headed to Smith's for a cooking class in provo? H NO!
anyways.....
I have applied to many jobs but no luck....oh wait I did get hired at cabella's in the deli area cooking up some steaks and bison burgers...don't worry I turned that one down immediately...who knows why I applied there in the first place.  I have also been a little picky with jobs, I don't want to work sundays, weekends, or holidays.  Not only do I not want to work on the actual Holidays to come but I would also like to have the week before and after thanksgiving and christmas off so I can come to Utah!!!  So here's the great news.....
DANCE TEACHER MICHELLE IS BACK:)
I FOUND A JOB TEACHING DANCE TODAY AND I COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED!  I ALWAYS TAUGHT DANCE IN UTAH BUT IT WAS A LOT EASIER FINDING A DANCE JOB THERE SINCE I GREW UP DANCING AND HAD A LOT OF CONNECTIONS.  THANK YOU CRAIGSLIST FOR OPENING SOME DOORS FOR ME!!!
TEACHING DANCE IS THE PERFECT JOB FOR MY CRITERIA! I LOVE IT, I ALWAYS HAVE THE HOLIDAYS AND AROUND THE HOLIDAY SEASON OFF, NO SUNDAYS, NO WEEKENDS, NO LATE NIGHTS, NO EARLY MORNINGS, ETC!  DANCE IS ALSO SUCH BLESSING BECAUSE YOU GET PAID QUITE WELL SO YOU CAN WORK MINIMAL HOURS A WEEK AND FEEL LIKE YOU'RE GETTING A FULL TIME PAY CHECK!!! SO THANK YOU MOMMY and DADDY
for paying Center Stage about A MILLION DOLLARS over the years so I could have such a wonderful job!!!

GCC aka Glendale Community College aka my twilight zone
Ok let me share some interesting stories with you... I PROMISE you want to read these!
  1. Get my head bit off by some ripped chick! So I was sitting in a chair waiting to meet with a counselor (for an 1 hour and 50 minutes in case you wanted to know) and I decided to stand up from my chair to go ask the front desk what was taking so long.  So I guess as I stood up to walk to the desk I "cut off" this girl.  Can you even "cut off" someone on foot??  I mean hello its a busy college campus.  Anyways she had a BIG problem with it, so she decided to YELL at me, however I didn't even realize she was yelling at me till the end haha so who knows what she even said to me.  I just turned to look up at this way tough girl smiled and said sorry...she didn't forgive me.  AWKWARD....and a little scary! p.s.I never even did get to meet with the counselor because after TRIPLE checking with the front desk, they discovered she had called in sick that morning!
  2. Story number 2! I made a new friend named Anna that same day.  Let me tell you some quick facts about Anna.  She is 17 years old, she is in high school but is trying to graduate on time so she is taking classes at GCC, her older brother is in prison and her older sister already has 2 kids and just turned 19.  She lives with her 21 year old boyfriend, and she said this to me, "I am a little nervous because I don't know if it is too early or not, and I have made the mistake of moving in with a boyfriend too early like a million times!"  First of all is that even legal, second of all where is her mom, and third of all how can you make that mistake a MILLION times by the time you are 17, in fact how can you make that mistake one time at the age of 17!
  3. LAST STORY!  So my pathophysiology classmates pretty much bombed the first test and when my teacher asked why they thought they did so bad this was the first response, "Well me and Brittney (the girl sitting next to the girl speaking) were in JAIL over the weekend so we didn't have that much time to study and we weren't sure what to study."  Ok first of all this girl has multiple kids and spent the weekend in jail, second of all who admits that to the whole class and third of all (this is what threw me off the most)  NO ONE in the class even flinched! haha in my head I was like wait did this girl really just say they were in jail over the weekend, and it didn't even seem to phase the class that she had just shared that!

SO in conclusion.......to all those who have ever said they hate the provo bubble and want to go to school somewhere else....you can look forward to experiences like those!  At first I was a little apprehensive but now I find school completely amusing every single day and just laugh! By the way I will do a more upbeat post about the great things of Arizona for which there are many Aaron and I love sometime soon!

Aaron and I in our scrubs:) That is his serious doctor face....

......SCHOOL...SCHOOL...SCHOOL......
School pretty much consumes our lives (mostly Aarons)
Anyways...I'm a little disappointed in my school right now, to say the least, considering I dropped out of my nursing program, get to re-take a bunch of classes that ASU decided they wouldn't accept and did I mention it's an arm and a leg for out of state tuition...AND...I'm currently taking those courses at Glendale Community College because it is cheaper than ASU and it's definitely more like Timpview than UVU or BYU!
(I'll share some interesting stories later)
Aaron is so great about teaching me new things, and letting me quiz him and practicing cool med school stuff with him to keep me busy for a while.  I also thought I would be able to help him with anatomy since I took that class at BYU but oh NOOOO! haha he started asking me a bunch of questions and I didn't even recognize any of the words he was using...haha jk but almost.  I guess med school anatomy is a little more intense.  I am so grateful though that we are both interested in the same field of study.  He can come home from school and share with me all these new interesting things he has learned, and I can get excited about them too instead of being bored out of my mind.  I decided when I am a stay at home mom I will live vicariously through him and he can come home and I'll make him discuss all the details of his latest surgery!
Well school is going well for the both of us, except for all of the second hand smoke I inhale on campus, and everyone cross their fingers that I will be able to get back into a nursing program sooner or later:)

You know you've grown up when you would rather read
GOOD HOUSEKEEPING than SEVENTEEEN
all growing up my friends and I would spend hours reading Seventeen magazine reading the trauma-rama stories! (embarrassing moment stories)

ANYWAYS

NOWADAYS I WOULD MUCH RATHER READ GOOD HOUSEKEEPING AND LEARN ABOUT THE NEW CLEANING PRODUCTS, FUN RECIPES, AND ALL THE EXTRA FUN TIPS!
OH HOW TIMES HAVE CHANGED AND I'M LOVING IT!!

Love football and I am definitely missing it!!! Rise and Shout the cougars are out!!!

of course the MOUNTAINS!!  Aaron and I both love being outdoors which means our summers consist of camping and hiking!  Now our summers consist of strictly indoor activities! Haha ok I know I will love it in the winter but its el scorcho down here!

miss my besties!!!
miss my family:) I am quite surprised at how well my brothers are doing at spending time of the phone with me! (if you know my brothers, you'll get why that is surprising) haha

p.s. I really do like it here I just had to point some of those things out!

Good thing I got this guy to make me so happy every single day!!!  Although, Aaron is super busy with school (which by the way he is getting amazing grades thus far!!!) he is turning out to be quite the wonder husband!!!!  By the way, I have NO IDEA why the pic of Mt. Timpanogus is ginormous!!!!!!! hahaha i am blog challenged!
